Capitol Hill
Capitol Hill is one of Denver’s most unique and eclectic neighborhoods. It is often called Cap Hill for short by the residents. The neighborhood is located just north of Denver’s downtown and the many of the charming, historic buildings were built in the 1920s. Cheeseman Park is located just north of Capitol Hill although many consider it a Capitol Hill Park. The park is always bustling with activities from joggers and speed walkers to people just enjoying the weekend.
Capitol Hill is home to many great hangouts, including the Governor’s Park Bar and Grill and Charlie Brown’s. There are also many amazing places to stay when you visit, like the Burnsley Hotel or the Capitol Hill Mansion Bed and Breakfast Inn.
Cherry Creek
Cherry Creek is a premier gated community and one of Denver’s most attractive real estate markets. The community offers a variety of home styles, most of which exude a quaint Victorian charm on a large scale.
Cherry Creek is located quite centrally, so that those in the neighborhood do not have to go far for amazing amenities. This pedestrian-friendly neighborhood is perfect for strolling along Cherry Creek or walking to the public library. There are also plenty of gyms, cafes, and supermarkets minutes away. Cherry Creek Mall also offers many high end stores, including Coach, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co. and others.
Cherry Creek also offers many other recreational events and activities, including the Denver County Club and the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. The Cherry Creek Arts Festival is a three-day event that gives patrons the opportunity to buy art, socialize, and simply peruse the exhibits.
Congress Park
The Congress Park real estate market is quite popular due to the neighborhoods various architectural styles and peaceful charm. There are many large Denver squares, Victorians, spacious single-family homes, and quaint brick bungalows. Congress Park features a wide array of restaurants and unique shops. Congress Park gives residents easy access to Downtown Denver and the Cherry Creek Shopping Center.
The neighborhood’s namesake, Congress Park, features a playground and outdoor swimming pool. There are also beautiful Botanic gardens on the western border that many residents and visitors enjoy. In the summer the park offers onsite gardening classes, concerts, and in the winter, there are many holiday events.
Downtown/LoDo
Downtown Denver is the 10th largest downtown area in the nation. The area provides a wide array of activities, events, shopping, eateries, and entertainment. Denver’s downtown also features many clubs, boutiques, art galleries, and lofts. With all the great resources and incredible view of the Rocky Mountains, there might not be a reason to ever leave this metropolitan area!
In Downtown Denver you will find the 16th Street Mall which was designed by I.M. Pei, the architect responsible for the Pyramide du Louvre in Paris and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. There are 5,300 hotels in Denver, which are all mostly located within just two blocks of the mall.
The downtown area is home to two distinct areas. On the east you will find Denver’s historic district, and on the west is the city’s Lower Downtown (LoDo). LoDo is the place to be for hanging out on any night of the week. You can always count of one of the area’s 90 bars and pubs to have something exciting going on after a big sporting event in Denver.
Washington Park
One of Denver’s first suburbs, Washington Park, is located in south central Denver and is an ideal location for young professionals. Washington Park has a great appeal since it is centrally located and is close to many hip coffee shops, record stores, and bars. The area is commonly known as Wash Park amongst residents and the neighborhood literally revolves around Washington Park. The park itself covers 162 acres and was designed between 1899 and 1908. Within the park there are two lakes, 54 flowerbeds, a recreation center, a lawn bowling and croquet field, and two playgrounds.
