Rolling Hills Country Club was incorporated in Colorado on November 18, 1955. The idea for a Country Club was born in April of 1955 by ten future board members. Searching for the perfect golf course spot, they eventually settled on a piece of property owned by Tedd Knowles. The original Rolling Hills Country Club was built (which today is known as Applewood Golf Course). Coors Brewery did a land swap in the mid 1960's, which led to the Country Club being in its present location opening in 1968.
